Currently, as the nation enters a crucial period of comprehensively deepening reforms, the significance of scientific research instruments has become even more prominent. The Standardization Administration of China has made remarkable contributions to the development of various industries, one of which is the formulation and improvement of standards for instrument industries. Recently, the Standardization Administration of China released a notice on the first batch of national standard revision plans for 2017, with a total of 238 items to be revised. According to the notice, this batch of plans comprises a total of 238 items, including 160 new standards and 78 revisions; 236 recommended standards and 2 guiding technical documents.

In this standard revision plan, the formulation of standards for some spectral components has been added. According to the notice, the two newly planned standards for spectral components are "Lasers and Laser-Related Equipment - Standard Optical Components - Part 2: Components within the Infrared Spectral Range" and "Lasers and Laser-Related Equipment - Standard Optical Components - Part 1: Components within the Ultraviolet, Visible, and Near-Infrared Spectral Ranges". Both of these standards are voluntary standards. They were jointly drafted by the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Southwest Institute of Technical Physics, the Institute of Applied Electronics of the China Academy of Engineering Physics, the China Ordnance Industry Standardization Research Institute, and the Dalian Product Quality Testing and Research Institute.

In this revision plan, besides formulating new standards for some spectral instrument components, a new standard titled "Determination of 3,3'-Dichloro-4,4'-diaminodiphenylmethane in Polymer Materials by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry" has been established, which is a recommended standard. This standard will be jointly drafted by the Shenzhen Institute of Metrology and Quality Inspection and the China General Inspection Warner Quality and Technology Center. Additionally, this revision plan includes the revision of four standards related to microscope eyepiece classification plates, as well as the formulation of plans for testing laboratory safety and multiple conformity assessment standards.
